What Are You Standing On?
“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.” Numbers 13:30-31
Ten spies said we are not able to take the Promised Land and two said we are well able to take them on because they are bread to us and others took up stones to stone them because they were minority opinion. But they stood – what was their faith standing on? On the word of God that said, see I have given you the land. Whenever God says “see”, He wants you to put on your imagination so that you can speak from the point of knowing. He always speaks the end from the beginning. God wants you to focus on the end because when you see the result ahead of time, it will keep you motivated, so that when the storms begin to rage and billows are tossing high, your eyes are on the end, knowing fully well that He who showed you the end, will see you through the middle. Remember He is the Alpha and the Omega – the beginning and the end.
God said to Abram, from today, you are now Abraham, the father of many nations. Imagine a man without one child going around calling himself the father of many nations. But he chose to believe God. He chose to stand on the word of God and the word came to pass. Today, we are all children of Abraham. People based their faith on majority carries the vote, but God is not a democrat, he is a theocrat, He is absolute. The word of God is not meant to be argued or reasoned out; the word of God is meant to be obeyed and so you must believe because you can never receive if you don’t believe. Why do I have to believe? You must walk in the realm of faith because most times, the things God says does not seem feasible to the ordinary mind. That is why God does not address your mind because His word is spirit and life and so it addresses your spirit and then your spirit educates your mind, that’s how it works.
The question is “what are you standing on?” Are you standing on the word of man or the word of God? The word of man will fail, but the word of God will surely come to pass. Heaven and earth may pass away but not the word of God. Hold firmly to the word of God and the word will produce in your life.
