WATCH YOUR THOUGHT PATTERN II

Watch Your Thought Pattern II
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
A man by the name Naaman was a mighty man of valour and a General of the Syrian army but the Bible says that he was a leper. There was no one to heal him of his leprosy and a maid who they captured and who was living with the wife said to Naaman’s wife that Naaman could be healed of his disease ifhe takes a journey to Israel. And when he gotto Israel, he went to the king and the king said I am not the one, I cannot heal but that there was a prophet in the land in the name Elisha. So, he was taken to Elisha to be healed of his leprosy with that understanding.
Naaman could have died a leper because of his thought pattern, he made up his mind on how God was going to heal him. He was saying, God, I am going to determine how you will heal me. You know there are so many people who think that way, they come to service and because they were not called out specially, they go home thinking nothing has happened. Simply because somebody didn’t jump up and shout or pour something over them, they leave church believing that nothing happened. Don’t you understand that as you sit there hearing the word of God,deliverance is taking place? The Bible in Proverbs 11:9 says, “Through knowledge shall the just be delivered.” Through knowledge, you make your war. A man of knowledge and wisdom is a man of strength.
Naaman expected that since he is an army General Elisha will rush out of the room and make all the protocol arrangements, sit everybody down and probably call all his servants and order a circle prayer for him. Or better still send his servants to his house to conduct tarry night for him. He had a mindseton how he should receive a miracle but the man of God simply said, “Go to Jordan and dip yourself seven times and you will be clean.” What could be simpler than that? But he said he will not do it because the man of God asked him to wash himself in muddy water and he said, does the man of God realize where I am coming from? I am coming from Syria and the water there is cleaner, why shouldn’t I deep in that one? Butthank God for good servants and assistants who can tell their masters the truth. Some people want to hear what they want to here. The servants said to him if you are told to go and fight war, won’t you go? And thank God he listened and when he dipped himself seven times, he was healed. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.
