The Valley Of Decision
“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.” Joel 3:14
As you look around the streets, you’ll see multitudes that are but moving corpses. Everywhere you go you see them, they wear expensive suites, drive expensive cars but they are multitudes in the valley of decision. They live in mansions yet there is a decision they need to take before it is too late. Now I understand what Paul was saying when he said “for me to live is Christ, to die is gain”. I am not afraid of death, no way – if you are threatening me with death it is too late, because you are seeing a man that is dead already.
You need to take a decision for Jesus, you think that you go to church service because somebody invited you or because you choose to come or you thought it was a good thing to do, but the truth is that God is challenging you to make a decision for him if you have not truly given your heart to him. He is giving you another opportunity and this could be the last opportunity because God does not answer prayer tomorrow, He’s the God of now. Hebrews 11:1 starts “Now faith is…” so if you fail to take the decision now it could be fatal; so don’t harden your heart now that you still have the opportunity to do so. I did it over 40 years ago and I never regretted it. It is the wisest thing you can ever do for yourself. You probably have been going to church and you have been pretending but you don’t have a relationship with God, I am not talking about going to church, I am talking about having a relationship with God, both here on earth and in eternity.
Yes I am already looking at eternity and sometimes I think about the saints of old who have gone ahead of us and I keep on imagining how it will look like when we meet them in heaven. We will never regret living in eternity because this is not our home; we are on an assignment, which is why you must get involved with every fiber of your being. I challenge you today to make your decision for God and establish a personal relationship with Him. I declare now that whatsoever valley you are in, that the enemy meant for evil in your life, it turns into a blessing in Jesus name. You will not die in the valley of indecision. God is bringing you out today and a new thing begins in your life today.
Even if you have accepted Him, but there is still a part of your life you are completely undecided about, I challenge you to dare to trust Him today. His thoughts towards you are thoughts of great things. God can be trusted and He never fails.
