Where Lies Your Hope

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths”. Proverbs 3:5 – 6

Everything that will be shaken will be shaken. Whether you like it or not things will go worse and worse in the world. It will get darker and darker, no matter the efforts; because the word of God cannot be broken. Isaiah 60:2 makes it very clear that “… darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people …” So, if you are waiting for the world economy to improve, then you will wait in vain. However the critical question is: Child of God, where lies your hope? If you are not standing on the Rock of ages, then I am sorry, I cannot help you. Because the only one that can keep you soaring higher and higher and keep you shining brighter and brighter is Jesus. Now, don’t be quick to tell me you go to church, it is not about church. The question is: on whom do you place your trust? That is a deep question. Is God plan “B” when all other options have failed? Do you go to God after all the human connections have failed? Or have you made God your source?

It is time to understand that God is your only help in times of trouble, your hope for years to come, your shelter and your eternal hope. Personalise it; say to yourself: “God is my help in times of trouble; He is my hope for years to come; He is my shelter and my eternal hope.” You must get personal with God. The time to generalise your relationship with God is over. Stop seeing Him as OUR God, start seeing Him as MY God. Seek to know this God personally because the wind is blowing; wind of adversity, wind of molestation and tragedy, wind against family, against God. Things are happening in quick succession, how do we survive?

When you know God and hold on to Him, I assure you that the same flood that destroyed others will be the same flood that will lift you up. The tide that destroys others will uplift you and in the midst of the shakings, you will testify.
