Seek Ye First I

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

Today, I want to strike a balance so you dont misunderstand what you have read in the last two days. Bro. Mike is it all right to work? Yes it is. Remember the Bible says he who does not work should not eat. It is all right to pray for the good things of life? Yes it is, the Bible says the desires of the righteous man is good and shall be granted. So what am I saying I am challenging you to place your priorities right. Dont put things above God. Put everything in the right perspective.

The scripture above says seek ye first that means something will be second, third, fourth, fifth etc. It is okay to work hard, but dont put your work ahead of God. I see people who are called by the name of God sacrificing Sunday service for work not because they are on essential services, but because work on Sunday will attract a double pay. Beloved, what is the benefit if you gain the whole world and lose your soul? May that not be your portion in Jesus name. The world has suddenly been thrown into rat-race and we are tending towards atheism more than you can imagine. But beloved, even if the world is going that way, you, the child of God, the light of the world and the salt of the earth, will you follow the same route? How then will you show the world the goodness and faithfulness of God.

I know the race is on, but remember the race is not to the swift, neither is the battle to the strong. You cannot beat the world in their game, but you can step out and step into Gods grace and when you do, what they labour to do for 5 hours without result, you will do in 1 hour with outstanding result. What they spend all night looking for a way out, you will step in and because your mind is in tune with God, you will receive divine direction and before you know it, you have solved the riddle Remember Daniel and his friends, they refused to eat the kings food. They stayed on their diet and guess what? They were 10 times better than their colleagues.

I pray for you today that as you seek God first, He will give you unequalled speed and unparalleled wisdom. You will run through a troop and leap over a wall. All things will become easy for you in Jesus name.
