You Have An Adversary I

And Esther said, the adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman, then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen. Esther 7:6

Yesterday, we started looking at strategy and I made it clear that the best book on strategy remains the Bible. Today, we read the story of Esther and Modecai and how Haman had got the King to sign the decree to wipe away all the Jews. Think of it, if you were Esther, what would you have done? Esther knew that a wrong move will not only eliminate her, it will hasten the elimination of the Jews. So she relied on God, went into fasting and praying with her maids supported by all the Jews and the result was good success.

There is so much to learn from that story. Dont take anything too casual otherwise it might be fatal. When you handle things casually, you expose yourself to the fiery dart of the devil. The fact that you have an adversary is not news; the fact that the devil is not playing fair, is also not a new story. But it is sad to see that with all that the Lord has equipped the believer with, many are still going around without the right weapons.

Beloved, whether you agree with me or not, you are in a war. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds and Ephesians 6:10 says For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places Life is a fight and in every fight, two things happen either you take out the enemy or he takes you out. Stop playing games. The devil is not pulling punches. You are the target; he wants to stop the promises of God from coming to pass in your life.

In every battle, be it in massive war or when two people are just engaged in any battle, the whole essence is to take something from someone. You better believe there is an adversary who wants to take something of value from you. He is serious about it and he is active twenty-four hours. You must put up a strategy to stop him, if you dont stop him, he will go ahead and wreck his havoc and you wont blame God because He has given you all it takes to stop your adversary. I declare today that you will not be defeated, you will overcome and I will hear your testimony in Jesus name. Get into the word and get the right strategy out and your victory is sure. The strategy for today is not the same for tomorrow, live everyday with the proceeding word from the mouth of God and victory is guaranteed.
