Be A Consistent Giver

…It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35b KJV.

Discipline yourself in the area of giving. Make sure that as far as giving is concerned you are consistent. Even when it appears you are not yet reaping dividends of your giving, keep on giving. Continue to give because it is scriptural. Things may appear tough, the bills may be mounting high but you can never be stranded when you order the affairs of your life according to the scriptures. The bible says in Galatians 6:9-10 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

At times I hear some say: You see, the reason why I didnt pay my tithes is because one bill was due and I have to pay that one first. God will understand. Beloved, God will not understand. What you have done is that you have taken something that does not belong to you; you have eaten something that is holy. And once you have eaten something that is holy, every other thing that you are putting your hand on is cursed. Malachi 3:8-9 says Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. You are not supposed to take what belongs to God. He has made a promise to you that He will rebuke the devourer for your sake (Malachi 3:11 KJV). So what should you do in the light of this promise? Trust Him and be obedient to Him. Do your own part and leave yourself in His hands.

Dont be in the company of those who are deceived and say: well God is a merciful Father. God is merciful; but also He is a God of justice. You must handle things based on the scriptures. When He says dont touch, it means dont touch. So live a lifestyle of giving. The essence of living is giving. It is a bad lifestyle; a selfish and self centred lifestyle if you are not a blessing to anyone around you. Today I pray God to open your eyes of understanding to the essence of giving. May you understand that you are blessed to be a blessing in Jesus name.
