Dont Abandon Your Altar (3)

For behold darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you and His glory will be seen upon you. Isaiah 60:2

Child of God nothing happens in the wilderness and when you find yourself in the wilderness, retrace your step back to your fathers house where you know there is abundance. Abraham abandoned his altar and took a journey towards the south and when he encountered famine instead of him to retrace his steps, he still went down to Egypt. He went down to Egypt because of the famine believing that Egypt will support him. Egypt is a type of the World. There is a limit to which the world can help you. The world does not have the answer. Darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness shall cover the people but the light of God will arise upon you. We saw that in the life of Isaac, he was to follow the footstep of his father when there arose famine but God told him to not go down to Egypt but should remain in the place God has told him and scriptures says Isaac sowed in that same land and reaped a hundred fold and God prospered him.

Scripture says those who trust God will survive through hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough. Those who looked unto Him were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. The poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles, the angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear him, and delivers them. O taste and see that the Lord is good. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Abraham because he went to Egypt began to compromise his faith. He said to Sarah not to admit that she was his wife but his sister in order for him to stay alive. He decided to sacrifice his family he was supposed to protect and the wife was taken. That is what happens when you leave your altar. You put the life of your family at stake in order to fight for survival. Beloved remain at the place of your altar and God will provide for you, He will protect and preserve you.
