2014 The Year of Greater Glory
Categories: From the Bishop
Let me first and foremost rejoice with you and also appreciate God for keeping you alive till now because often times we take for granted the fact that we made it this far. You will recall that the outgoing year, was marked with a lot of challenges globally and even in our own nation Nigeria, we went through a lot of trying moments, but for the grace of God. By His grace we overcame as He gave us victory on every side. That is why I know that He who brought you thus far, will not abandon you in the coming year.
Without doubt, you must have noticed that God is giving us the theme ‘Greater Glory’ again. Beloved, when God repeats a thing for emphasis, it means He is up to something unusual. It is not a play on words. I come today to challenge you to position yourself for the greater glory that is to come. Like I said last week and it bears repetition, stop and take stock. What were the things you did well? What were the things you didn’t handle well? In-spite of your scorecard for 2013, take a quality decision to square up your shoulders, and get ready to do even better no matter the odds. The Apostle Paul said in Phil. 4:13 (KJV) ‘’I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me.’’ Beloved, all things means all things, no exceptions. Being able to do all things means no limitations, no hindrances. You must tell yourself I can do all things in my academics, job, business, family life and ministry. You must approach the New Year with the ‘I Can’ mentality. Let’s look at the same scripture from the Message translation:
Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.
From the Message translation, you can see that the ‘I can’ mentality is derivable from the One who makes you who you are. John 1:12 clearly says who you are in Christ. God was not playing on words when He said “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” Beloved, you are not going to become: you are the son of God. The devil keeps fighting this truth so that he can keep you intimidated, confused and put down even though you are the Son of God. Can you imagine the son of the President going on the street with his shoulders dropping, his eyes down and looking every bit a failure? Of course not, the very fact that he is the son of the President confers on him a certain level of authority and grants him certain privileges, not for who he is in himself, but whose son he is.
Beloved, all truth is parallel, if the son of the President will walk with some springs in his feet with his head up, how much more you, the son of the King of Kings and the Lord of lords? Beloved, square up your shoulders, raise up your head, you are the covenant child of the covenant keeping God. In the coming year, decide that there would be no limitations or impossibilities with you no matter what the enemy throws at you and you will see God move on your behalf in a dimension you have never seen before.
In addition, let me also add that you should not just rush into the New Year. Approach it purposefully and prayerfully. When you identify those areas where you desire a change, write them down and begin to pray about them. Remember that you can do all things through Christ and praying is part of that ability. You must pray until something shifts in the realm of the spirit. God has gone ahead of you to make crooked paths straight so decide to stand in there until you receive the favour of the King. You will not be denied in
As you go into this week and by extension into the New Year, I declare that you would make a difference in your world. I see you being sought after and I see Kings looking for you to proffer solutions. I prophesy over your life that in the New Year, doors will open for you and your paths shall continually drop fatness. I declare that you will experience a turnaround in every area of your life. The earth shall yield her increase for you and you will not be denied. As we get into the New Year, I see God go ahead of you to make crooked paths straight. You will partake of the greater glory. I bless
In His Royal Service
