The problem with most believers today is unwillingness to patiently wait for God’s appointed time for their lives. Luke 1:80 says, And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel. This is talking about the prophetic declaration concerning John the Baptist. John the Baptist was ordained to be Jesus’ forerunner as prophesied by Isaiah.

However, John did not just wake up and manifest that anointing rather the scripture above says the child grew physically and waxed strong in the spirit and he was in the desert till the day of his showing unto Israel.

In other words, there is a time for manifesting; you don’t just become an overnight wonder. There is a process of time. Jesus went through the same process; Luke 2:40 says And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. In both verses, the process is that they grew, waxed strong in the spirit and were filled with wisdom.

Now, wisdom is the ability to dissolve doubt and to solve problems, remove obstacles, remove burdens and destroy yokes. That scripture says the child grew and waxed strong in the spirit. Have you ever wonder why we have Christians who are weak in spirit? It is because they have imported the fast food mentality into spiritual things. You got saved yesterday, you went through the new convert’s classes to become a member and now you think you are a super star. If you are like that the devil will blow your brains out. We need to be on our toes, study the bible every day and grow. The enemy will fight to see that you don’t do this. He will bring a thousand and one things your way to occupy your time and gain your attention. You have to purpose in your mind to overcome in this fight. It’s a daily battle that we fight and Jesus said he that overcomes will be saved. May you overcome daily in Jesus name.
