No Margin for Failure

Categories: From the Bishop

‘’So shall my word be that goeth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.’’ {Isaiah 55:11} {KJV}

Dearly beloved, you will be surprised how many people are in doubt of what the word of God can accomplish in the life of the believer. Let me remind you that the word of God is so efficacious that no power can withstand it. Nothing can be substituted for the word of God, because it has no margin for failure. No word of God is void of power. For ever God’s word is settled in Heaven. I can assure you that the word of God produces results and will not return unto Him void. His word is errorless, infallible and unchanging. In Mark 13:31 the scripture declares “heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.’’ This shows that signs, wonders and even the elements may cease, but the word abides forever.

One strategy the devil uses to challenge our faith in the word of God is to amplify the challenges we go through. The intent is to put you under pressure so that you lose your faith in the word. Like I always say, whatever the word cannot give you: 1. You don’t need it and 2. It does not exist. One thing you must settle in your heart is that the word of God works. It has never been and can never be broken. Every promise that proceeds from His mouth will surely come to pass. In my few years of ministry, I have seen what men called impossible come to pass. I have seen diseases that doctors labeled incurable healed. I have seen women whose fallopian tubes were removed carry their babies to mention a few. Beloved the word of God works.

Today, I see a clientele of believers who want to see the word work before they believe. This trend is dangerous because what marked you out as a believer is that you believed without seeing. The believer is not moved by sight or feelings but rather, by what God said in His word. If He has said it, then that settles it. Beloved, don’t begin to factor in your number six. Allow God to honor His word in your life. Your feelings have nothing to do with what God wants to do in your life. Don’t give room to the lies of the devil, rather take time to remind yourself of the promises that God has made to you and see them come to pass in your mind’s eye. Always understand that delay is not denial. The fact that it has not happened yet does not mean it will not come to pass. Hang in there and hold on to the word.

Another thing that can help your faith is to listen to other people’s testimonies. As people come to share their testimonies this morning, listen and assure yourself that you will be the next in line for a miracle. The reason why we share testimonies is to strengthen your faith that the word of God works. In addition, you are further assured that what God did for one person, He can and will do for another. Beloved don’t listen to the lie of the devil that you will not testify. You will surely testify. The Lord will surely visit you and fill your mouth with testimonies. Hold on continuously to the word of God because it has no margin for failure. You can stake your life on it.

It is also important that you learn to store up the word of God in your heart because that is what comes handy in the hour of need. Learn to discover the word for yourself because there is a word for every situation you are passing through. Find out what God is saying to you. That word is more potent than anything you can see. Remember that the warfare we are in is a battle of words: so never allow the devil have the last word in your situation. If he speaks concerning any area of your life, simply declare the word of God to him.

As I close let me remind you that the only thing you are permitted to be gluttonous about is the word of God. Read the word, meditate on it, speak it to yourself and be all that God has ordained you to be. I will hear your testimony.
