YOU WILL BE SOUGHT AFTER

You will be sought after November 19 Wednesday

“And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:” Judges 11:5 (KJV)

The Bible tells us an interesting story about a man by name Jephthah. His problem started from his conception because his mother was not legitimately married to his father. Out of jealousy, the young men in his community pursued him out of his inheritance. His rejection was borne out of something that he had no control over. He had no hand in who gave birth to him and the circumstances of his birth. So this victimisation from those who should be his siblings was enough for Jephthah to give up, carry his hands on his head and organise a life-long pity-party. But not Jephthah, that was not the end of Jephthah.

I like what Jephthah did. He went on to develop himself. He saw an opportunity in his rejection. At least rather than be a spoilt child of a rich family, he developed his God-given talents to the extent that he became so skilful that the news of his skill filtered back home. Can you imagine the news that got back to his people to the extent that when they needed a warrior to lead them to battle; they looked for him.

Guess what? It was not the young men that came to call him. It was the elderly men; people in authority. As a prophet of God, I declare to you that they will look for in the high places but only as you arise like Gideon and develop the gift of God in you.

Every single person has a talent. You have the grace to do something more than others; so don’t envy the other person’s gift, sharpen yours. Develop it, make it the best thing that the world has ever come in contact with. Sharpen your skill, develop it and the world will come looking for you. If you need to go to school, go to school. If you need to acquire a new skill, acquire a new skill. Go the extra mile. Become a solution provider. The Bible says that many shall kiss the lips of him that has the right answer. Even if they do not like your face, they will look for you because of the solution you carry. Get ready!
