“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him”. Psalm 126:5-6 (KJV)

Welcome to the first day of the year 2015-your year of celebration. As I sought the face of the Lord for the theme of this year, I heard Him say it is the year of celebration, so get ready from the very first day of the year to celebrate. You are celebrating the present not because of what you can see, but because of what He has promised. Be assured that the expectations of the righteous shall not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18).

Our scripture for today is very heart-warming. You might be wondering why you should celebrate when you can recall all that happened to you in the past year. The scripture says those “that sow in tears shall reap in joy” (Psalm 126:5). Have you sown in tears? Have you wept so hard that you thought your tearglands were completely dry? Beloved, such a past shows that you are a candidate for celebration this year. Don’t judge this year by the events of last year. Instead, look into this year knowing that God has spoken and His word will not fall to the ground unfulfilled. He is not a man to lie and He is not the son of man needing to repent. His word is true.

I dare you to believe God this year and watch your life go from one celebration point to another. However, remember that God did not promise a bed of roses. But He did say that even in challenging times victory is sure. So celebrate.
