“Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.” Micah 7:8 (KJV)

Many times we buckle under the weight of scoffers. We cannot handle it when we think that we are on the receiving end of the devil’s blows. Rather than standing tall and declaring who we are, we give in, cave, and sulk, believing that the battle is over. Beloved, God is your Father and He is the referee; He will not blow the whistle until you win. No matter how hard the devil tries, one thing is sure: you are the winner. So why give in?

The scripture above should encourage you if you think you have fallen so low that nothing can reach you; because that belief is a lie from the pit of hell. No matter how far you think you have fallen, declare boldly to the devil and all who care to hear: rejoice not over me because when I fall, I shall arise. In other words, where you are today is not the end of your story; you will bounce back. You are going to experience a turn around. The God of restoration is visiting you and will turn all your past failures into victories. No one else will sing your song or dance your dance; you will sing your song, dance your dance, and testify to the faithfulness of God in the land of the living. So tell yourself, “Yes I may have fallen, but I will arise.” The God that visited the Children of Israel in Egypt after 430 years is your God. He will visit you in a special way. Those who thought they had seen your end will turn around and celebrate your God with you. Don’t write yourself off; your testimony is around the corner.
