YOU ARE BIGGER THAN CRUMBS (2) Tuesday, 27 January 2015

“And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.” Genesis 32:26 (KJV)

It is not the things you possess that produce what you are but what you are carrying that produce the things you get. You may be wondering what I am trying to say.The point I am making is that what you carry is greater than peanuts. It is bigger than having a mosquito mentality and vision. Child of God, your God is not a partial God. What He did for one He can do for another. Though they have been empowered, the thing that is holding some people back is the fact that they are not empowering others; rather than being a flowing river that is ever fresh they are fast becoming a lake with stale waters. God has empowered you and placed you in your position so that you can empower others.Together we are lifted up.

Where you are today is not at your best; no matter how comfortable you are, you can still be better. Jacob wrote the scripture above when he was wrestling with the angel. Until this point, Jacob had seen himself as successful. He had wives, children, cattle, and all kinds of other things. In fact, he had a strategy for how to pacify his brother with gifts, thinking that he had everything under control. He was large enough to be divided into three groups and still be successful. Are you like that? Do you think you have achieved greatness? Stop and think. Look at the story of Jacob. When he met the angel he realized that there was so much more out there. He ended up saying to the angel: “I will not let you go until you bless me.” What happened to Jacob? Didn’t he think he was already blessed? That one encounter showed him that there is still so much more in God. How tired are you of where you are? If you are satisfied, there is nothing that can be done. You need to hunger for more and when you do, you shall definitely be filled.

God does not simply want you to be blessed; He wants you to be a blessing. Today I release upon you grace for greater exploits. You will not remain where you used to be. I see God lifting you up to greater heights in Jesus’s name.
