YOU ARE BIGGER THAN CRUMBS (3) Wednesday, 28 January 2015
“And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.” 1 Samuel 17:34-35 (KJV)
Take a moment to look at the patriarchs; there was not one that fell short of abundance. They chose to believe God even with their limited knowledge and walked with Him and experienced prosperity. They had their challenges, but they chose to believe Him who had made a promise to them. The same is true if you are to play in the big league of life. You must be daring enough to enter the ring with the lion. There are many lions out there but what you have inside you is greater. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (KJV). This is followed by 1 John 5:4,which says: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (KJV). David dared the lion and the bear, and when Goliath showed up; he knew the same God would deliver him. God didn’t raise you up for mediocrity. You can still stand out in your field. You can be the best and prosper there.
What I am saying is that God is tired of seeing you where you are. He wants to see you out there killing the giants and slaying the lions and bears. He wants to see you surpassing the gladiators of this world. He wants to see you out there. He does not want the world to intimidate you. You should prove to unbelievers that your God can bless you and bless without reservation.
Things are the way they are because God’s children are playing children’s games. The Bible says in Galatians 4:1 that as long as an heir is a child, he is no different from a servant. Even though the inheritance belongs to you, you are no different from a servant because you have refused to mature. So there is a need for you to grow. I declare to you today that what belongs to you will not go to another. You will possess all that is meant to be yours and the name of the Lord shall be glorified in your life.
