YOUR HEAVEN IS ALREADY OPEN Saturday, 1 February 2015
“[. . .] Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.” Acts 7:56 (KJV)
It is vital for you to understand that there are certain benefits that have come with the price that was paid by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you lack this understanding, the devil will rob you of your inheritance. You could come to church regularly and still not benefit from the heaven that is already open. Jesus came from heaven and went back, which means that heaven is already open to you. For instance, a mother could leave food for her children but ignorance may keep them hungry. So it is with the believer who does not have an understanding of the fact that they can draw benefits from the kingdom. The hard part has already been done, but ignorance keeps many from claiming their blessings.
Heaven is already open; that is your privilege as a believer. The last time I checked the scripture, I discovered that the price has already been paid. It also said that Jesus is sitting down at the right hand of the father. “Sitting down” indicates that he has done all He needed to have done. Our task is to claim and enforce His victory in order to enjoy the benefits.
Jesus Christ made us right with God. Being pure and holy in Him, we have been freed from sin. He has already perfected His work of redemption. Jesus did everything, so if you must boast; boast that He did it all. There is no other name under heaven given to men whereby we should be saved.
Ephesians 2:5 makes it clearer by saying that even when we were dead in sin, God quickened us together with Christ and raised us up together. He made us sit together in heavenly places. In the world to come, He will show the riches of His grace in His kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. For by grace, you are saved in faith. Your salvation has not been achieved by works. So no man should boast. Child of God, the heaven over you is already open. You need to take full advantage of it.
