THE BELIEVER’S BILL OF RIGHTS Tuesday, 3 February 2015

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.” Romans 10:4 (KJV)

Child of God, it is important that you begin to accept your true nature as a believer. Your nature is not based on what you are doing but on the gift God has bestowed unto you. God bestowed righteousness on you so that you can do right.

What then is righteousness? It is the believer’s DNA. It is our root because we are made in the image of God. Righteousness is right standing with God. God wants us to know that in all conditions we will have the right standing with him. We should not be afraid to approach Him; we will not be like Adam. Remember Adam, he was afraid after he fell into sin in the Garden of Eden, so he hid from God. God saw this inadequacy in man and sent Jesus to pay the price once and for all. So today, we are not righteous by what we do, but we are righteous by what Jesus did on the cross for us.

Righteousness is the believer’s Bill of Rights. It is what you wave at the devil in the face of any challenge. I guaranty you that the devil will attack, challenge, accuse, and put you down, but you must hold on to your Bill of Rights. Righteousness is standing before God without any sense of sin, guilt, condemna00tion, inferiority, or accusation. Righteousness is standing before God as though sin does not exist.

“Brother Mike, how do I become righteous?”you may ask. The very moment you accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ you became righteous. You do not need to do anything else because your salvation is your righteous benefit.

You cannot do anything to be righteous. It is the work of Christ on Calvary that made us righteous. The sacrifice of Jesus has made you righteous and freed you from the power of sin and death, so don’t be afraid of death because believers don’t die; they only sleep.
