GROW IN GRACE

“But by the grace of God I am what I am [. . .].” 1Corinthians 15:10 (KJV)
The reason God has been patient with us is because He wants all of us to be saved. For this reason, there is a need for us to repent. Repentance is not just feeling sorry about something; instead, it is about turning to what God has said. Turn away from what the devil is saying and turn towards God completely. As Paul the Apostle in all his wisdom wrote in all his epistles and said in 2 Peter 3:17, “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness” (KJV). In other words, Paul is advising you to hang in there. Everything will be all right you shouldn’t use the enemy’s weapon because the weapon you have is more powerful. He also advised also in 2 Peter 3:18, “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (KJV).
This tells us that all these things occur by grace so He tells us to grow in grace. Understand that everything has been made available by grace. Enjoy your position in the strong tower. Don’t try to earn what God has made available or struggle to become what you already are. As far as God is concerned, you are good. Don’t try to earn “goodness” or impress God. He knows that you cannot impress Him. That is why Christ came and died-so that you can be lifted. What you should do is stay in Christ and enjoy Him by growing in grace and in His knowledge.
You see, understanding will create boldness in you. When you were a sinner you did some things right but that did not make you righteous. You became a sinner not because of what you did but because of the fall of Adam, which made us all sinners. You automatically became a sinner once you were born into the world. In the same way that the fall of Adam made us all sinners, the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ has made us righteous. So it is not about what you did or didn’t do. Right believing brings right living. If you believe wrongly you will never live right. God gave us His blessing freely; it was unearned, not prayed for, and not fasted for.
Romans 5:18 says, “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life” (KJV). Know that Jesus is the rock of our salvation. The Bible says, “Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The rock mentioned is the revelation of the Lord Jesus.
