PLACE YOUR EARS IN HIS MOUTH March 30 Monday, 2015
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.” Proverbs 4:20 (KJV)
When God calls you His “son”, He is getting intimate, because not everyone is a son. He is telling you that because of your intimacy with Him, you enjoy a special type of relationship with Him. Let me tell you a secret, God wants to give you information that is not for everyone. It only for His sons! My son, attend to my words. Pay attention to my words. Be diligent to give attention to what God is saying in every matter. Always find out what God’s own view is, because many things are speaking to you and trying to get your attention. Newspapers, televisions, and billboards are all trying to get your attention and in the midst of all these, you must be careful to know what God’s own view is.
God is telling you to incline your ear to His sayings. Put down your ear to receive the rhema on what God is saying about everything. Do this just as Jesus Christ did during His earthly ministry. He lived in such a manner that people were forced to say: “What manner of man is this? He is not like each of us.” But Jesus told them it was not about Him: “[. . .] My Father worketh hitherto, and I work” and “[. . .] as I hear, I judge [. . .]”(John 5:17, 30, KJV). In other words, Jesus placed His ears in the mouth of His Father and received what He was saying about every situation. Beloved, God is still speaking today. Pay attention to him. Pull away from all the voices seeking your attention and give your attention to what God is saying. Doing so will remove struggles and disappointments from your life.
As a child of God and a man of the kingdom, you cannot operate using the worldview. 1 John 2:15 says, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (KJV). The world is turning the Bible upside down, so you have to know what God is actually saying concerning various matters. Ephesians 5:17 says, “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is” (KJV).
You cannot know anything if your ears are not in His mouth. You have to draw nearer to His mouth. There must be closeness; there must be intimacy. There must be constant fellowship with Him through the study and practice of the word and prayer. I declare to you today that you will not be distracted. All that God has planned to reveal to you will get to you and the purpose of God shall be fulfilled in your life. I bless you today.
