“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Matthew 28:5-6 (KJV)

Today’s scripture is what differentiates Christianity from every other religion and takes it away from the category of a religion to a lifestyle. When Jesus walked the earth, He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for God was with Him. Naturally, people gravitated towards Him because people will always go where there is a solution. Three and a half years into His ministry, He was crucified and died. The people saw Him die. They saw Him taken down from the cross and buried. For them, that was the end. They looked around and thought Superman was gone. No wonder the women went to the tomb on the third day to anoint His body, but the good news was that when they got to the tomb, they discovered that He was no longer there.

Use your imagination. Can you think of the way the women felt? Obviously they were confused. What they thought was an end had suddenly taken another turn. Then they recalled the various things He had said that made no sense to them at the time and realised that the story had not ended; it had only just begun. The women who came to the tomb sorrowful left with great joy. In the same vein, the condition that has brought you sorrow is about to give way and your joy is set to return.

Have you written yourself off? Did you believe the lie of the devil that it is all over in your life? Have you taken a close look at your situation and considered it dead? I have come to tell you, as a believer, that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in your mortal body. So your situation is not decided yet. The power of resurrection is flowing to you right now, but only if you believe. God is set to turn things around for you. Those who have written you off to the grave will go there and discover that you are not in the grave. If Jesus rose, then you are also rising. God is set to visit you in a supernatural way and give you a mind-blowing testimony. Believe me. It is not over for you.
