THE ‘I CAN’ SPIRIT (2)
Monday, 27 April 2015
“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” 2 Corinthians 2:14
Do you know that it is an insult for a believer to say I cannot? What you are simply saying is that Christ cannot because as a believer you are in Christ. That is what makes you a Christian.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” You are a new creation. You are not gentile. You are not Jewish. You are a new creation. You are a special specie of being that has not existed before. You are different. The way God deal with you is totally different from the way it happens to others. So for you as a new creature to say I cannot means you are minimizing what Jesus has done on the cross.
Child of God, I boldly announce to you that Jesus did a perfect work. All it takes to make you an overcomer was accomplished on the cross and you have no business saying in any situation that you cannot. I have never caught Jesus saying he cannot and yet he met difficult situations. He met with challenging situation but He never succumbed to say He can’t.
Beloved, there is an ‘I can’ spirit inside you. In proverbs 24:16, the bible says the righteous falls seven times and riseth again. And in Psalm 37:24, it says though he stumbles he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. In other words there is no margin for failure for a new creature. No margin for failure for you. You will always bounce back. And whatever God has spoken concerning you must materialize. It just has to happen. You may not know how, when or the details but it just has to happen. If God has to stop the whole earth to make it happen, it will happen. That is the mentality you must put on if you want to go very far in these last days.
If you take on the I can’t spirit, let me tell you one thing that will happen: you are going to die in the wilderness without your dream being fulfilled. You will die without attaining anything. Your dream will only remain in the realm of dreams. It will not be a reality. Those who said they cannot in the wilderness all died leaving only Joshua and Caleb who in spite of the giants insisted they can. God’s intention is that when He gives you a dream it will move from dream to reality. Beloved, I challenge you now to adopt the ‘I can’ attitude. And I assure you that no situation will be able to overcome you. You will testify this year in Jesus name.
