GOD WILL REMEMBER YOU Monday, 4 May 2015

“And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.” Genesis 21: 1 – 2 {KJV}

For me, it is a revelation that God does not have abandoned projects. I know that some issues may have tarried in your life, but it does not mean that God is not going to come through for you even when it looks as if He is running late. I can assure you that God is never late. When God made a promise to Abraham, it didn’t look like anything was going to happen, because he and Sarah were both very old. Not only did what God said blow their mind, God went as far as confirming it with an oath. In other words, God was literally saying, I am bound to perform all I have said because of covenant. In the same manner, let me remind you that the God you serve never forgets. He will certainly remember you.

Take a moment to think about it. If God was judged faithful by men and women all through the ages, why would He fail now? The challenge we have as believers is that we put God into our mould and expect Him to fit into it. Beloved, we are not talking about your boss here, but about the Monarch of the universe. The El-Shaddai Himself. The one who can kill and make alive. The maker of the Heavens and the earth.

My question, therefore, is do you still have enough faith in this God? In spite of all odds, we are told in Hebrews 11:11 that even Sarah herself received ability to conceive. Even beyond the proper time of life, because she considered Him faithful who has promised. Beloved, the key here is that she considered Him faithful who has promised. She didn’t know how or when, but she just had a knowing that she was not going to die childless. My question is do you still consider God faithful, or have you given up on Him? Look at the attitude of Sarah. According to the scriptures, she literally said to herself; I may not understand exactly how God is going to do it, but I believe He who delivered me in time past is able to deliver me now. She no doubt remembered how God delivered her from the hands of a wicked heathen King in Genesis 20. She thereafter judged God faithful and received strength to conceive.
