“And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever”. Genesis 13:14-15 (KJV)
In Genesis 13, the scripture tells us that there was a little challenge between Abraham and his nephew Lot. Lot chose his own part of the land and separated from Abraham. In Genesis 13:14 when God saw that Lot had separated from Abraham, He said to Abraham; Lift up now your eyes. Abraham stop looking down. Looking down brings discouragement. Looking around brings distraction. Looking behind brings defeat. But looking up brings deliverance. Abraham, look up. Lift up your eyes. Look beyond this challenge.
As far as your eyes can see. Let your eyes do the walking. Let your eyes go forward. Let your eyes move through the land. Arise and walk through the length of it. So Abraham arose walked round the land, and for every step he took he smiled. He had to walk. He had to move forward. He didn’t make that place his graveyard. A lot of people like sympathy but sympathy will not get you into the promised land You may cry, but blow your nose and dry your tears. That is the key to enter your promised land.
Child of God, you are highly favoured. The bible says we have been made kings and priest and we shall reign on the earth. We have received the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness to reign on earth. So you are not a slave. You are a prince and a king. Circumstances must not make you make a wrong confession. Do not change your identity because there are challenges facing you. You are a child of God, morning afternoon and night; all day long. Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Are you a child of God? Then you have received eternal life and there’s no one that can pluck you out of his hands. Praise the Lord, Look up, do not look down. Go forward, do not go back. Go forward.
