“Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13:15 (KJV)

t is clear from the word of God that we are to continually praise Him. In other words, the mandate is that quality praise and thanksgiving should flow from your lips at all times, in season and out of season. The Psalmist says I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Beloved, I do appreciate the fact that it is not always so convenient to praise God when things are not so wonderful, but you have to do it as a mark of love for God and as an act of faith in Him. If you want to wait until all is well around you before you praise Him, you may never get to praise him. All who praised Him in unpleasant situations have always experienced a turn around. So praise God anyhow.

Child of God, you need to understand that it was at such contradictory times that your praises assume the dimension of sacrifice. It is at such times your praises become an act of your will. At that point you are literally saying to God, I know that I have unpaid bill; I know that my health may be failing; I know that my business may not be fairing well but yet I will praise you. Let me assure you that whenever you praise God like that, you are actually engaging Him in your situation. When you praise God like that blessings will surely come down. At such times the devil really expects to see you crying, but he is confused when he actually sees you praising God, dancing and rejoicing. What you are affirming at that time is that God is too big to be ignored. At this point, God takes over your situation personally and throws His weight around for your sake.

We are told in Psalms 22:3 that God inhabits the praises of His people, which mean that He does not come and go. He actually comes in and sits down and says “my Child what is going on? Beloved, when you truly give Him quality praise continually, then get ready for something heavy. You cannot   Him and go away empty handed. As you offer your sacrifice of praise, I prophecy over your life that doors will open for you of their own accord. You will not be denied. Everything that hitherto stood in your way is coming down and you will testify in Jesus Name.
